Wigan motorist breached road ban for second time

Andrew Stretton stood before Wigan justices to admit being at the wheel of a Kia Venga on Gower Street on October 29 while disqualified and uninsured plus refusing to give a sample when police suspected he was driving under the influence.
The 39-year-old of Ormskirk Road, Pemberton, had already pleaded guilty to a driving while banned and under the influence of cocaine when in a Peugeot in Bradshaw Street, Whelley last June 21 after which a interim ban was handed down.

Hide AdAs well as the jail sentence, which was suspended for 18 months, he was also banned from driving for five years and must complete 25 days’ rehab activities. Stretton also has £563 to pay in costs and a victim surcharge.
