A Wigan man has been charged with attempting to make sexual contact with a child.
Police say David Mawdsley, 43, of Hampden Place, has been accused of two offences of attempted sexual communication with a child over allegedly inappropriate messages being sent to a youngster in November 2017.
Mawdsley has also been charged with two allegations of breaching a sexual harm prevention order.
Police have confirmed that Mawdlsey has already appeared before magistrates and has been remanded in custody to appear next at Bolton Crown Court in October, for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
