A broken down vehicle is causing rush-hour delays on the M6 near Wigan

Highways England said the stricken vehicle has forced the closure of a lane between junction 25 (Wigan) and junction 26 (Orrell Interchange) this morning (April 21).

They tweeted: The #M6 northbound #J25 (#Wigan #A49) to #J26 (#OrrellInterchange #M58) one lane has been closed due to a broken down vehicle within roadworks. Traffic Officers & Recovery are on their way to the area."
