"NHS 111 can help 24 hours a day, seven days a week if you have an urgent medical problem and you’re not sure what to do."
NHS Wigan Borough CCG highlighted that treatment for urgent health problems is also available at Leigh Walk-In Centre.
Attendances at Wigan's A&E unit plummeted earlier this year at the start of the coronavirus pandemic, but have been climbing since.
Last week, health chiefs urged people not to go there to seek a Covid-19 test.
